The gift of reading...

The Service provides audio and braille library service via mail or digital download to any Illinois resident who is unable to read standard print material due to a permanent or temporary visual or physical disability.
The Library's collection contains over 100,000 items including Talking Books, Braille books, foreign language material, descriptive videos, old time radio shows, and more.
Users can download the BARD mobile app to Android devices, including 2nd generation Kindle Fire devices, or Apple devices to create a personal, portable library on their smartphones or tablets. Patrons may also download books to a flash drive for use with the digital talking book machine.
Give the gift of reading to yourself or someone you know. For eligibility information, contact the Illinois State Library.
