Garden Day at the Library

Master Gardener Help Desk – 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Get a head start a great gardening experience this spring with some help from the experts! The DuPage County Master Gardeners will be on hand in the library’s atrium today to answer your questions.
Create a Lego® Fairy Garden! – 1:00-2:30 p.m.
Kids in grades K-5 – Create your very own mini-fairy garden. Participants can bring their own mini Lego® figures/figurines to decorate their unique and imaginative gardens. Everything else this will be provided by the Library.
Register online, by phone or in person beginning Monday, April 4th.
Learn about Fairy Gardens – 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Adults and Teens in grades 6-12 – Discover the magical world of Fairy Gardening! This program will inspire you to create your own miniature garden (inside or out) where gnomes, fairies, elves and other wee folk can frolic. Learn about the folklore of this age old form of gardening, as well as ideas in design, construction, use of creative containers, plant material choices and accessories.

Create a Fairy Garden – 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Adults and Teens in grades 6-12 – Let your imagination go wild and create your own miniature garden. We’ll provide the supplies – you supply the whimsy!
