Free Reads for Commuters

Commuters at the Roselle Train Station can now access thousands of free downloadable books quickly and easily, simply by scanning a QR code at the Friends of the Roselle Public Library book exchange kiosk.

The QR (quick response) code, located on the paperback exchange kiosk, can be scanned or photographed by anyone who has a scanner app such as QR Scanner or NeoReader installed on their smart phone, tablet or eReader.

Over 15,000 titles are available to download. All you need is the scanner app and an eBook reader app on your device. No Library card is required to access the free books, and the book titles never expire.

In addition to the free books available to everyone, Roselle Public Library provides even more for Library members with a library card & PIN. Members can access downloadable eBooks and Audiobooks through eMediaLibrary, a collection of best-sellers and popular fiction & non-fiction developed by a consortium of west suburban libraries. eMediaLibrary’s collection includes titles for adults, children and teens. For information about becoming a Library member see the Library’s website (, or call the Circulation Department at 630-529-1641.

This service does not work with the Kindle app. Download a different reader app to your device to use this service.
