Goodobye DLS; hello RAILS

Roselle Public Library District has been a member of the DuPage Library System (DLS) for a long, long time. DLS has provided your librarians with continuing education and networking opportunities. It has provided the delivery system for your interlibrary loans. It has been our liaison with the Illinois State Library, and so much more.

As of yesterday, July 1, 2011, DLS and the other four library systems in northern Illinois have merged to form the Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS). The new system serves more than 1500 public, private, university, and school library members, representing more than 3,700 libraries in a 27,000 square mile area in northern and central Illinois. The RAILS staff has promised libraries and users the same level of service that we previously received from DLS.

We are happy to see some familiar names among the RAILS staff.
Goodbye DLS;, hello RAILS.
