January Book Discussions

Mark your calendar now for the January Adult book discussions:

Genghis: Birth of an Empire
The Men’s Book Discussion Group meets on the third Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
On January 17, the group will discuss Genghis: Birth of an Empire. This book by Conn Igguldsen, chronicles the rise to power of Genghis Khan, one of the world's most powerful and fearsome rulers.

Feather CrownsThe Evening Book Discussion Group meets on the third Tuesday of each month.
On January 18, the group will discuss Feather Crowns by Bobbie Ann Mason. The poignant story of Chrissie Wheeler, a farm wife living near the small town of Hopewell, Kentucky, who gives birth to the first recorded set of quintuplets in North America.

The (NEW!) Afternoon Book Discussion Group meets on the third Thursday of each month.
At the discussion on January 20, the group will also be discussing Bobbie Ann Mason's Feather Crowns.

The book discussion groups are held in Meeting Room A from September through November and January through May. New members may stop by the Adult Reference Desk to register. Book selections are available about a month prior to the discussion.
