November Book Discussions for Adults

Mark your calendar now for the November Adult book discussions:

Animal FarmThe Men’s Book Discussion Group meets on the third Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
On November 15, the group will discuss Animal Farm, George Orwell's world famous satire on dictatorship told through a story about the happenings of an English country farm and the animal inhabitants who find it their duty to rebel against the sometimes cruel owner and prove themselves every bit mankind's intellectual equal.

The (NEW!) Afternoon Book Discussion Group meets on the third Thursday of each month.
At the November discussion, the group will also be discussing George Orwell's Animal Farm.

The Girls from AmesThe Evening Book Discussion Group meets on the third Tuesday of each month.
In November, the group will discuss The Girls From Ames: a Story of Women and a Forty-Year Friendship by Jeffrey Zaslow. A testament to the deep bonds of women as they experience life's joys and challenges-- and the power of friendship to triumph over heartbreak and unexpected tragedy.

The book discussion groups are held in Meeting Room A from September through November and January through May. New members may stop by the Adult Reference Desk to register. Book selections are available about a month prior to the discussion.
See the upcoming dates and monthly selections on the Library's website.
