Computer Classes @ Your Library

Roselle Public Library offers a variety of computer classes aimed at beginning computer users.

Email class, Monday, 10/25, 10:00 a.m.-Noon. This class will assist you in using a free website email service such as Hotmail. Creating attachments, sending and retrieving messages will be covered. Please note that this class does not help you establish a new email account.
Internet 101, Wednesday, 10/27, 10:00 a.m.-Noon. This class will teach you the basics of Internet searching as well as how Internet web sites are set up. It will help you identify usable information as well as showing you parts of a good web page.
Microsoft Word, Thursday, 10/28, 7:00-9:00 pm. This class will teach you the basics of creating and retrieving a saved document. Formatting, using margins and other tips and tools for creating a good looking document will be covered. Intended for users of Microsoft Word versions 2003 and earlier.
Please note that some skill in using a keyboard and mouse are necessary for the above classes.
Saturday Skills: Databases, Saturday, 11/6, 9:30-10:30 am. In this class you will learn about the subscription databases that the Library has made available for card holders to use in the Library and to access from home. Included will be business directory tools, homework assistance for high school students, language instruction, magazine and newspaper reference tools, and genealogy sources.
