Green Gardening...

Going GreenSpring is in the air! Can you feel it? Time to start gardening and your library can help make your garden "green."
Join landscape architect Marcus de la fleur, Sunday, Mar. 21, 1:30 pm, as he talks about water, sustainability and your garden.
He will explain how to create a yard that's not only beautiful, but useful and "green." With its green roof, rain barrels, rain gardens, and other green applications, his residential pilot project in Elmhurst brings to life the principles of green gardening and responsible treatment of rain water within a residential landscape. He will also discuss the benefits, including flooding prevention and water conservation, of these changes for our community and our planet.

"One Drop at a Time: Water, Sustainability and Your Garden" is part of the Library's "12 Months of Going Green" programming.
