Roselle Reads! Sunday

Don't forget to mark your calendar and plan to come to the Library on Sunday, September 13 for two more programs in the Roselle Reads! celebration.

First, at 1:30 pm, sit back and enjoy Bucky Halker, folk singer, performer and historian, performing "Protest Songs of the Great Depression."
Rick Wartzman discusses his book, Obscene in the Extreme

Then, at 3:00 pm, Rick Wartzman, author of Obscene in the Extreme, comes to Roselle Public Library to talk about how The Grapes of Wrath was originally banned and sometimes burned when first released, and the reasons behind this.
Mr. Wartzman's presentation will be interesting in its own right, and great background for the discussions of The Grapes of Wrath in the book discussion groups coming up on Tuesday and Wednesday evening.
Register for Rick Wartzman's talk on the Library's Calendar of Events. (Registration is not necessary for Bucky Halter's performance or for the book discussion groups).

If you haven't read The Grapes of Wrath yet, stop by the Library and pick up a copy, or you can read the ebook online here.

For more information about these programs, or any of the programs in the Roselle Reads! celebration, see the Library's website.
