"READ ON THE WILD SIDE" - Summer Reading 2009

The 2009 Summer Reading Program in Youth Services begins Monday, June 8! Kids, babies through entering sixth grade, visit the Youth Services "Ask Me" Desk, (starting on June 8), to register and receive your program gamesheet and bookmark. Check out books, back issues of magazines, Audio books (playaways, books on cd, book & cd kits), read or listen to books being read. Keep track of the time you spend reading or listening to books on the "Read on the WILD Side" gamesheet. Visit the Youth Services "Ask Me" Desk to check in your minutes and gather prizes as you earn them. When you reach the 12-hours of reading goal receive a bookbag, free paperback book, and various coupons (for free stuff) from area businesses. Enter the "Grand Prize Drawing" each time you visit and more minutes of reading and listening are logged in from your gamesheet.

Pick up the Summer 2009 program brochure, available now, at the Youth Services "Ask Me" Desk to learn about all the fun planned for you this summer in the Youth Services Department - storytimes, drop-in crafts, Read2gether for kids entering 2nd & 3rd grades in fall, special guest performers, and more!

Read this summer! Read to your family! Listen to someone reading to you! Read to your cat, dog, fish, or canary! Earn prizes by keeping track of the time you spend reading and listening to books being read.

"Read on the WILD Side" the 2009 Summer Reading Program ends Monday, August 3rd.
