May is Preservation Month!

There is still a little time left in May to celebrate Preservation Month! In an article in the current Roselle Reporter, Colleen Wisniewski offers these suggestions:
"Picnic under an old tree,” she says. "Read a historic novel. Tour a house museum. Drive a scenic byway. Stroll in the park. Delve into your family tree. Write it down. Pass it on to your children. Get involved. Know your community. Admire its homes. Learn about your community’s founders. Learn about the history of your house. Shop on Main Street. Look up at the second stories. Ask Grandma. Make a photo album."
Sign at Clauss Recreation Center

Isn't this a great example of inter-governmental promotion! A sign at the Park District, an article in the Roselle Reporter (and a note in the Library website) promoting a visit to the History Museum!
Have you been there lately? It's worth the trip!
