This Week (3/13 - 3/19) @ Your Library

Applications are available Monday for Students entering 7th - 12th grades who want to be a Book Buddy to a young child this summer. Book Buddies share weekly reading sessions during June and July. Application deadline is June 1st. Book Buddy volunteers will meet for a training session on June 16. Contact Debbie for more information.

Chess Club meets Monday afternoon, 4:00 - 5:00 pm. Players ages 7-17 are welcome. Contact Mirjana for more information.

Kindergarten/1st Grade Stories & Craft takes place Tuesday afternoon, 4:30 - 5:15 pm. Registration is required for this session of magical stories and a shamrock man craft. Contact Youth Services for more information.

The Adult Book Discussion group meets Tuesday evening, 7:00 pm. The book to be discussed will be Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee by Dee Alexander Brown. For Information, contact Michael.

On Wednesday morning, 10:30 - 11:00 am, librarians from the Youth Services Department will travel to Stratford Square Mall to entertain with stories and songs. Drop in, no registration is necessary.

Saturday, 10:00 am - noon, Adult Services staff will teach you how to navigate the Internet with confidence. Internet 101 includes an overview of the Internet, a discussion of some of the services available, such as free e-mail, and an introduction to search engines and basic search techniques. Participants will get hands-on experience. Registration is required. Contact Adult Services for more information.
